1. Production at SANYO DENKI PHILIPPINES, INC.
On March 16, the Philippine government announced new enhanced community quarantine orders for
Luzon Island in the Philippines, in effect until April 12.
As of April 7, the Philippines government has extended this enhanced community quarantine over
Luzon Island, now ending only at 11.59pm on April 30.
As of April 23, the Philippines government has extended this enhanced community quarantine over
the Manila metro area, now ending only at 11.59pm on May 15. The Zambales area, where Subic
Bay is located, is considered a high-risk area, and may be covered by the extended lockdown.
The quarantine here will be re-evaluated by April 30.
As of April 30, the Philippines government has confirmed that Subic Bay will be included in the
extended lockdown, ending at 11.59pm on May 15.
As of May 16, the Philippines government has allowed for the lockdown restrictions at Subic Bay to
be relaxed under the conditions of a General Community Quarantine.
2. Resumption of Operations
Regarding resumption of production at our group company, SANYO DENKI PHILIPPINES, INC.
On March 16, 2020, the Philippines government announced a lockdown of the northern island of
Luzon due to the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
In response, since March 16 SANYO DENKI Group suspended production activities at SANYO
DENKI PHILIPPINES, Inc. (hereinafter the "Philippines factories") located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone
in Luzon, but since then restrictions were partially lifted and production activities will resume on May
18. It is expected to take about a week to return to the previous production capacity.
