Human Resource Development and Employee Engagement

Basic Approach

The SANYO DENKI Group aims to be a company where every employee can achieve self-fulfillment through their work and professional life. We believe that having a work environment where employees work actively and enthusiastically and perform to the best of their abilities will result in contributing to the medium- and long-term growth of the SANYO DENKI Group and society.

Promoting Work-Life Balance

To support work-life balance, we implement various initiatives to ensure employees can work comfortably and with peace of mind. For example, we promote proper labor management to prevent excessive working hours and encourage employees to take paid leave. We also provide flexible work options—including flextime, remote work, and staggered working hours—to create a work environment that accommodates diverse working styles.

Supporting Work-Life Balance for Childcare and Family Care

The SANYO DENKI Group is committed to creating a work environment where employees can balance childcare and caregiving responsibilities regardless of gender. For example, the Group holds informational sessions for employees preparing for childbirth or caregiving, as well as those currently balancing work with such responsibilities. These sessions cover internal policies and public benefit programs. In addition, consultation services are available to support employees in utilizing these programs and returning to work with confidence. In July 2016, SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. obtained a certificate (known as Kurumin) recognizing it as a company that actively supports childcare based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.

Human Resource Development

Our training includes three main pillars: (1) grade-based training programs that help employees recognize the expected roles and activities of each professional qualification and to support them to demonstrate their abilities above the required levels, (2) career-based training programs that are dedicated to specific occupations such as sales and design, and (3) department-based training programs that help employees acquire special knowledge specific to their divisions. These training programs support employees who are striving to develop their own abilities and grow.
In addition, we introduced training for newly promoted employees to further improve skills of young and mid-level employees, and are also focusing on developing employees who will lead the next generation. For managers, we perform manager training to help them acquire practical knowledge and skills as managers, with the aim of developing them into senior managers and produce top management candidates.
