SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. has developed a new model of SANMOTION C motion controller featuring more powerful CPU and high-speed fieldbus*1 EtherCAT interface.
It is ideally suitable for applications such as robots, conveying machines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and general industrial machinery.
Features
1. Industry’s leading number of controllable robots
The controller is capable of simultaneously controlling two 6-axis articulated robots in coordination.
It has a processing capacity approximately twice as great as that of our conventional model. *2
2. High-speed fieldbus EtherCAT communication
With 100 Mbps high-speed and highly reliable communications, this fieldbus*1 shortens the communication cycle time*3 of our conventional model*2, enabling even greater precision control.
*1 Fieldbus is an all-digital, serial communications protocol used for communications among field devices and to the controller.
*2 SANMOTION C motion controller, model no.: CP242-A.
*3 As a reference, the cycle time is 1 ms when handling 32 motor axes.
