SANYO DENKI Develops SANUPS W83A, the World's First Power Conditioner to Support Various Renewable Energy Sources

SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. has developed and launched the SANUPS W83A power conditioner (power inverter) that supports various renewable energy sources. This product contributes to preserving the global environment and achieving the SDGs.



1. Making Full Use of Generated Renewable Energy

This product is designed to make full use of generated renewable energy such as solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and waste heat through power control,(1) making it the world's first product to do so.(2)

2. Ensuring Stable Power Supply

Combined with storage batteries,(1) the unit can perform peak shaving by supplying battery power during peak demand hours , contributing to a stable power supply.

3. Space Savings and Reduced CO2 Emissions

The unit's volume and footprint have been reduced by 14% and 28%, respectively, compared to our current product.(3) Also, the unit achieves a conversion efficiency of 95%, marking an improvement of 2%. This reduces installation space and CO2 emissions.

4. For Emergency Management and BCP Purposes

In times of emergency such as power outages, the product can provide battery power or generated renewable power, serving emergency management and BCP (business continuity planning) purposes.

5. Wi-Fi Connectivity for Improved Operability and Maintainability

Featuring Wi-Fi connectivity, users can easily check the operating status from a smartphone. Additionally, remote monitoring can be enabled by building a wired LAN network.

6. Contribution to the SDGs

This product can help expand the share of renewable energy consumption and improve energy efficiency, aligning with Goal 7, which calls for "affordable and clean energy."
